At A Glance Q2 2016: Ireland Investment Market

The investment market saw the largest ever single transaction complete in 2016, with the sale of Blanchardstown Shopping Centre for €950m. Confidence in the retail sector, which is being boosted by strong consumer demand, high levels of consumer confidence and consistent retail sales growth, is set to continue to make Irish retail assets very attractive to both domestic and international investors for the rest of the yera and into 2017.  €2.1b was invested in Irish commercial property in Q2, the largest ever amount in any one quarter.

At A Glance Q2 2016: Dublin Office Market
Occupier demand for Dublin office space remains strong.  The CBD continue to attract the most interest with 70% of space taken-up in Q2 located in CBD locations, particulary Dublin 2 and Dublin 4, The active supply pipeline is the key dynamic driving market acitivity and this will continue to be the case for the remainder of 2016. Rental growth remains evident but increased new office space expected to an anchor the pace compared to 2015.
