Talent Garden , prossima apertura : Vienna

After the finalization of the site and the start of construction work Talent Garden is opening in Vienna, supported by Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) and Startup300 as well as the Vienna Business Agency as sponsor. The new hub will feature our Innovation School, a digital skills ‘bootcamp’ education platform, and we will also bring to Austria a set of projects and events to promote innovation and foster connections and collaboration between companies across the network.

The perfect location for Talent Garden Vienna was found in the 9th district, Liechtensteinstraße 111-115 on 6 floors within walking distance to metro and tram, with recreation and entertainment areas nearby, the facility will provide a flexible work space for freelancers, tech start-ups and corporate innovation labs, with capacity for 500 people. Crucially members will have access to its international network of other 23 campuses and to Talent Garden’s Innovation School. This new campus will become the center for Austria’s innovation ecosystem, promoted by the international impact of Talent Garden and thanks to the strong support of key strong local co-founders, successful tech entrepreneurs Martin Giesswein and Max Lammer, as well as startup300 team and players from the Austrian economy, such as Raiffeisen Bank International, and local institutions.

Startup300, the most important business angel network for startups in Austria, has become shareholder and active partner of Talent Garden Vienna to establish an Austria-wide co-working and innovation network for founders, start-ups, innovative companies and freelancers that gives valuable access to investors.

Davide Dattoli, Co-Founder and CEO of Talent Garden commented: “We have chosen Vienna after a long analysis among many cities in Europe because we think that can become one of the leading tech hubs in Europe. For us it is the first German-speaking campus and convinced us for three reasons: firstly, an ever-increasing start-up and digital community. Secondly, an incredibly positive feedback from companies such as Raiffeisen Bank International and several other players, as well as the public authorities around the city of Vienna or the Vienna Business Agency. And thirdly, a dedicated group of local co-founders is crucial for acceptance in the community of a city. For Talent Garden success partnerships are crucial and we couldn’t find any stronger company than startup300. We planned a 3M euros investment in this project and we want to attract in Vienna tech talents from all over Europe and help the local one to scale in the rest of Europe thanks to the network of campus of Talent Garden.”

Michael Eisler, CEO and co-founder of Startup300 AG sees enormous potential in the cooperation: “startup300 develops and operates an ecosystem that helps startups and innovative companies to successfully build their business models in digital change. Talent Garden and Startup300 are two partners who have one thing in common: the success of both companies is firmly linked to the topics of “entrepreneurship” and “digital transformation”. Our offers complement each other very well in terms of approach and mindset. Talent Garden was our partner of choice to gain a foothold with Startup300 in Vienna on a large scale, to build up a network all over Austria and to get access to international innovation hotspots as quickly as possible. We are looking forward to develop the startup and innovation ecosystem together quickly and professionally.”

“The fact that Talent Garden enters the German-speaking market via Vienna shows once again that this city is a good breeding ground for international players. On the other hand,  Talent Garden creates added value for the further development of Vienna as a global start-up hub. We are very happy that it starts now”, said Gerhard Hirczi, Managing Director of the Vienna Business Agency, who supported the project as part of its start-up initiative.

Recently we announced our expansions into the Nordics through a strategic partnership with Rainmaking based in Copenhagen, which is a global co-operative of entrepreneurs that also runs the world famous Startupbootcamp accelerator programme, a new facility in San Francisco and in late Summer 2018 Talent Garden Dublin.
