Apre il "Westfield Galleria" - 270 milioni di dollari - a Roseville, California

13/11/2008

«From H&M to Louis Vuitton, holiday shoppers are sure to find something for everyone on their list at Westfield Galleria at Roseville this season. Today marked the Grand Opening of the shopping centre’s US$ 270 million phased expansion, unveiling 48 new retailers, a spectacular new Dining Terrace, brand new family-focused amenities and new Roseville Parkway garage featuring convenient covered parking. In addition, existing stores such as Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel and JCPenney are debuting new looks and an enhanced merchandise mix.
Westfield Galleria’s expansion showcases a “districting” layout that groups similar stores to facilitate quick-and-easy shopping. In addition to great retail, Westfield Galleria at Roseville also introduces a vibrant fast casual style dining experience, the first of its kind to Sacramento. The new Dining Terrace seats 800 and features fast casual eateries with comfortable indoor and al-fresco style seating.

“It is with pleasure that I congratulate Westfield for this spectacular project and for their commitment to being a great corporate citizen and valued community partner,” said Roseville Mayor Jim Gray. “The opening of the shopping center translates into 1,600 new jobs and significant new tax revenues that will contribute to the economic growth in the region.”

“It is Westfield’s philosophy to continually reinvest in our properties, and Westfield Galleria at Roseville is a model of that commitment, said John Widdup, Westfield Managing Director, United States. “Today, we unveil Sacramento’s premiere shopping destination, an exciting place that connects residentsand visitors alike with the very latest in fashion, trends and lifestyle. By combining the best in retail, world-class design and meaningful relationships with our community, we truly provide a ‘different, better and special’ shopping experience.”

The commitment continues throughout 2009 with additional elements of the expansion opening progressively. Construction is underway in the old food court and relocated store spaces. Next year, Westfield Galleria welcomes an additional 52 retail and dining options to the shopping center such as: Tiffany & Company, Burberry, Lacoste, Juicy Couture, Hollister, Gilly Hicks, True Religion Jeans, Tommy Bahama, BCBG Max Azria, Lucky Brand Jeans and more.

Westfield Galleria at Roseville is owned by the Westfield Group , an internally managed, vertically integrated shopping center group undertaking ownership, development, design, construction, funds/asset management, property management, leasing and marketing activities and employing in excess of 4,500 staff worldwide. It has investment interests in 119 shopping centers in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States with a total value in excess of A$60 billion and is the largest retail property group in the world by equity market capitalization.
