Il “CoreNet Global Summit” a Parigi

18 - 20 settembre 2011

S
enior corporate occupiers from all over Europe, including many professionals from France, are set to debate diverse issues such as accelerating globalization, progressive workplace strategies, the workplace of the future, skills shortages and even the future relevance of conferences and professional membership organisations, at this year’s CoreNet Global EMEA Summit (Paris, 18-20 September).

This year’s Summit takes the theme “Social Dynamics: Connectivity, Creativity, Relationships”, exploring the global social change that has led people to connect across cultures and continents on both a personal and corporate level, using new tools to form new alliances and expand their reach.

Corporate occupiers presenting in the programme include Vodafone, Siemens, Shell, Citigroup, Standard Chartered Bank, Coca Cola, and Nokia, joining many other leading corporate real estate experts including consultants, academics and economic developers. Other major corporate and real estate experts registering for the event include ABB Ltd., AIG, AstraZeneca, Barclays, BP International Limited, Diageo, FloraHolland, GlaxoSmithKline, MasterCard Europe SPRL, Microsoft, Oracle Corporation, Pfizer Ltd, Red Hat UK Ltd, Royal Bank of Scotland, Shell International B.V. and Sybase.

Providing a focus on this year’s host country, as well as the expected contribution from regional corporate occupiers and the new CoreNet Global France Networking Group, relevant sessions will include a focus on implementing progressive workplace strategies in France and southern Europe presented by representatives from ATOS Origin, AOS Studley and Distance-Export; and a session looking at the fluidity of workplace as it increasingly enters public and virtual environments, with contributions from Vodafone, Steelcase and Lbmg Worklabs.

Meanwhile, as London prepares for the 2012 Olympic Games the Summit will also include a presentation on the social and economic impact of brownfield land regeneration, with contributions from the Olympic Park Legacy Company and DTZ.

For the second year running, CoreNet Global will also host a lively and provocative “Pecha Kucha” debate, this time responding to the motion "CoreNet Global will soon have no place in a fully connected world". The debate will look at the relevance of structured and formal membership organizations and organized conferences in a socially connected world that is increasingly based on informal and impromptu relationships, connections, networks and work environments, with participants arguing for or against the motion.

Finally, the keynote presentations will be delivered by Social media expert and former BBC employee Euan Semple, and Lisa Spahn, facilitator and consultant from Disney Institute. Semple will address the audience of corporate real estate executives on the effective use of social media networking and communication tools in the workplace, while Spahn will look at the importance of creativity and how Disney engages its customers through the seamless design of place, elaborate settings and key environmental elements.

This year’s annual CoreNet Global EMEA Summit has taken as its inspiration the global social change that has led people to connect across cultures and continents on both a personal and corporate level, using new tools to form new alliances and expand their reach. The event will explore how the world’s “connected culture” continues to evolve, and focus on the tools, knowledge and skills that Corporate Real Estate (CRE) professionals will need to keep pace with such change, across the c-suite, partners, clients, locations and the workplace.

The Summit will also welcome members of CoreNet Global’s new France Networking Group, which was launched in early 2011 and has already enjoyed a successful programme of events of its own in the French capital. The Group forms an important part of CoreNet Global’s strong presence in the EMEA region, where there are also active regional Chapters in the Benelux, Central Europe, Middle East and the United Kingdom.

Johnson Controls, Compass Group, Regus and BNP Paribas Real Estate are Platinum sponsors of the Paris Summit, with Gold sponsors CB Richard Ellis, Jones Lang LaSalle and Global Switch, and Silver sponsors including Steelcase, Qube Global Software, Eurocres, Ahrend and Procos Group.
