Grosvenor acquisisce a Tokyo

01/12/2008

«Grosvenor, the privately-owned international property development, investment and fund management Group, announced today the launch of the Group’s first residential development in Japan – Grosvenor Place Kamizono-cho, an exclusive residential apartment block adjacent to Yoyogi Park. The property is jointly developed by Grosvenor, Tokyo Tatemono and Properst.

Grosvenor Place Kamizono-cho is one of the most exclusive residential properties in Tokyo. It is located in a prime location in Tokyo, inside one of the largest parks in Tokyo, Yoyogi Park, and is within 15-minute walking distance from Omotesando and Shibuya – the trendiest shopping area in Tokyo. With such a unique location, the design of the property landscape has incorporated the harmony and serenity of the surrounding park to offer a new standard of natural living and luxury which are beyond price.

"People in Asian countries desire a higher and higher standard of living. As such, Grosvenor’s regional strategy for Asia Pacific is to establish a luxury residential brand, and Grosvenor Place Kamizono-cho is the first development project in Japan carried out under this strategy," said Nicholas Loup, Chief Executive of Grosvenor Asia Pacific.

"Grosvenor Place Kamizono-cho is a realization of a ‘new luxury residence’ that has never been seen in Japan. It was achieved by combining Grosvenor’s experience in the UK and around the world, with the expertise and skills of local property developers who have extensive know-how in Japan," said Loup.

Grosvenor has been focusing on the design and the quality of life that such developments can offer its residents. Grosvenor Place Kamizono-cho is designed by Grosvenor’s long-term partner, the renowned, award winning UK architect Paul Davis in collaboration with Yasui Architects & Engineers. The premier low-rise luxury apartment complex combines the convenience of the city life with a quiet living environment surrounded by greenery.

Built on the development site of 5,701 square metres with a total constriction area of 18,082 square metres, the property with 4-storey and 3-basement storey block has 45 residential units and provides spacious living space with unit sizes ranging from 150 to 360 square metres. The penthouse has a sky garden, from which the residents can enjoy the benefit of Yoyogi Park’s greenery through all seasons.

Established in 1896, Tokyo Tatemono has been a leading real estate developer over a century providing over 30,000 highly sophisticated and secure residences. Tokyo Tatemono supports Grosvenor Place Kamizono-cho with its proven management experience in high quality residential property » ( CS della Società)
