Stoneweg consolida la piattaforma hospitality e nomina Miguel Casas come Managing Director

Stoneweg, the real estate investment adviser and asset manager with operations and capabilities across Europe and the United States, has consolidated its specialist management and advisory capabilities in the hotels sector into a dedicated platform, Stoneweg Hospitality, as it prepares to take advantage of market dislocation and further expand its activity in the sector. Miguel Casas has been appointed to the newly created position of Managing Director, Stoneweg Hospitality, with responsibility for leading the business’ focus on the sector.

Under Casas’s leadership, Stoneweg Hospitality will seek to leverage its deep expertise and track record in the sector to build a hotels focused platform comprising investments in key European markets as economies emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. Stoneweg currently has a significant hotels portfolio consisting of 1,500 rooms across southern Europe. The investment strategy will continue to be informed by supportive underlying trends and focus on markets and properties that offer the greatest opportunity to create value and deliver high quality products managed by the industry’s leading specialist talent.

Miguel Casas has 15 years of experience in the hospitality investment market. He joins Stoneweg after a 10 year career at CBRE where he was latterly Head of Hotel Investment Properties, Continental Europe, with responsibility for CBRE’s pan European activity in the sector, and before that Head of Hotel Investment Properties in Spain.  Casas, who holds a degree in Business Administration from CUNEF in Madrid, has extensive experience in undertaking strategic transactions in the sector, as well as in brokerage and buy side advisory and investment services related to hotel assets.

Stoneweg will look to further strengthen the team as it expands its operations and maintains its high levels of client service and delivery.

Stoneweg has dedicated presence in Switzerland, the United States, Spain, Italy, Andorra and Ireland, enabling many of the operational aspects of the firm’s investments to be carried out in house and locally.

Stoneweg has completed more than 270 acquisitions alongside best-in-class partners since 2015.
