Il 7° Summit annuale europeo di CoreNet Global

Berlino, 21-23 settembre 2008

« Internet search engine Google is confirmed to headline the third general session at this year’s CoreNet Global European Summit in Berlin (21-23 September 2008) which takes the theme “The Productivity Puzzle: Redefining the Work Environment”.

Jason Harper, Head of FM, Google Germany and Andrew Laing, Managing Director, DEGW will speak at the session, entitled “The Total Workplace at Google”, which will look at how the world’s largest search engine in partnership with the global design consultancy has developed their ultimate workplace environment in Munich.

The general session, which is anticipated to be a highlight of the 2008 Summit programme, will describe how Google created a workplace that was flexible enough to accommodate their rapid growth, host two completely different business units, incorporate Google’s corporate sustainability strategies, and provide a tool for attracting and retaining the best talent, yet still retains the feeling and influence of Munich.

Illustrating their success in innovative workplace thinking, guidelines on Google’s productive, flexible, collaborative, engaging & sustainable ideals are now also being rolled out to their sites all over the world.

CoreNet Global’s seventh annual European Summit programme will also feature contributions from science astronaut and research specialist Ulrich Walter, and bestselling author and business strategist Rowan Gibson, in a packed programme examining how human productivity can be increased by work environment factors.

Meanwhile, eleven educational programmes and “SNAP” session will explore areas such as productivity in the work environment, location strategies and resource optimisation, and hot topics in corporate real estate such as sustainability and multiple generations at work.

Confirmed speakers will include senior representatives from American Express, Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Company, Ceramic Fuel Cells Ltd, Chadwick International, Como, Cushman & Wakefield, emap, Ernst & Young, Hammerson, Hanesbrands Inc, HOK, Johnson Controls, Mastercard Europe, MCM, Nokia Siemens Network, NUON Energie und Service GmbH, Original Creative Co-op B.V., SAP, Schroders, Spacelab, Sun Microsystems, Toho, Tenax Europe GmbH, Tractus Asia, University of Cambridge, Wadley Donovan Gutshaw, WICE Consulting and Woods Bagot.

The event will open with a welcome reception on Sunday 21st September. The following two days will comprise keynote presentations from industry leaders, seminars and workshops, study trips in and around Berlin, networking opportunities, working lunches, a gala dinner ( which will be attended by the Mayor of Berlin ) and a closing cocktail reception.
