"The PortGate logistics complex being built by Sponda has reached its full height in Vuosaari Harbour. The logistics complex, which will be completed towards the end of this year, will offer companies based in the harbour modern logistics premises that will streamline freight distribution.
Vuosaari harbour will be Finland's largest general harbour. The harbour project is also unique by international standards, for a completely new freight harbour has not been built in Western Europe for a long time.
The PortGate logistics complex comprises the gatehouse complex and a logistics area of 130,000 square metres, of which 70,000 square metres will be built in the first phase. The gatehouse complex will house the 13-storey PortGate office building, which will be a landmark in the harbour area, as well as a passenger terminal and parking for 460 cars.
“The PortGate logistics complex is one of Sponda's largest projects, and it also demonstrates Sponda's activity in property development in the logistics sector. We are committed to leasing and developing the PortGate logistics complex on a long-term basis. The design of the premises takes into account the changing needs of companies, and all efforts are made to build the premises so that they best support the tenant's business,” stresses Sponda President and CEO Kari Inkinen".
