«Aberdeen Property Investors announces that its Luxembourg based Aberdeen Property Nordic Fund I SICAV (FIS) has made two acquisitions and exceeded its target equity size of €200 million. The fund’s latest acquisitions are a 5,877 sqm office property within Plaza Business Park in Vantaa, Finland, belonging to the Helsinki Metropolitan area. The property is located only five minutes from the airport and 20km from Helsinki city centre. The state-of-the-art “Plaza Piano” was constructed in 2001 and is fully let. It is one of a trio of almost identical, eightstorey buildings, designed in a triangle shape. The price is not disclosed. The second acquisition is the “Filbytergallerian“ shopping centre located in Linköping, Sweden, offering 16,428 sqm of retail, office and leisure space on six floors as well as parking lots. Constructed in the early 1970s, the shopping centre was comprehensively restructured and refurbished in 2008. The price was some €41 million (SEK 385 million). Aberdeen Property Nordic Fund I SICAV (FIS) is an open-ended property fund with a diversified Core/Core+ investment strategy for commercial property in the Nordic countries. The fund is designed for, but not limited to, German institutional investors and qualifies as a special fund under Luxembourg law. Following the latest acquisitions, the fund is now 51% invested, having exceeded its equity target with a committed capital of €210m at the fourth closing in April. Investors in the fund are primarily well-known German insurance companies and the minimum investment is €25m. The fund is distributed by Aberdeen Property Investors Deutschland GmbH as part of a cooperation agreement with its Luxembourg sister company, which acts as fund manager» (CS della Società).
