"Global real estate adviser DTZ has been appointed by RE Project Development Sp. z.o.o. to manage the set-up process and provide future property management services for the new Ferio Konin Stare Miasto shopping centre in Konin, Poland. The Ferio Konin Stare Miasto shopping complex is owned by the development company, Raiffeisen Evolution Austria, the parent company of RE Project Development. It will open on April 18 2008 and will consist of two buildings: a shopping centre named Ferio Konin with a total area of 14,000 sq m and a Castorama DIY hypermarket with a total area of 9,000 sq m. Both buildings are single storey. Approximately 1,100 parking spaces will available to clients and visitors. The second stage of the development will feature an additional 5,500 sq m hypermarket. DTZ will be fully involved in the preparation and set-up of new projects and will ensure that the financial, marketing and operational issues run smoothly prior to opening. Following the official opening of the shopping centre, DTZ will take over the day-to-day management of the property. DTZ has been appointed by property development and investment company Segro to market new agency opportunities at the Treforest Industrial Estate near junction 32 of the M4. The brief is in addition to DTZ's current property management and building surveying instructions at the site, and DTZ will work alongside Hirons Morgan Yapp on the promotion of existing stock, and development of new-build opportunities. As part of the deal, DTZ's development team will also carry out work on a blueprint for the development and modernisation of 9.6 acres of land on the 130-acre site. The Treforest Industrial Estate has been an established trading estate since 1956 and generates a rental income of more than £4 million per year.
