CB Richard Ellis acquisisce in Danimarca e Romania , e apre in Ucraina

19/02/2008

«CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. today announced the acquisition of its affiliate company in Denmark, CB Richard Ellis Cederholm A/S ("Cederholm"), one of that country’s largest commercial real estate services companies. The purchase price is approximately $43 million. The acquisition significantly strengthens CB Richard Ellis’ platform in Scandinavia by giving the Company a wholly-owned position in one of the region’s most active property markets.

Cederholm has been CB Richard Ellis’ affiliate in Denmark since 1999, and this transaction reflects the Company’s strategy of acquiring affiliate companies in global markets with high growth potential. Founded in 1998 by Henrik Cederholm, the business employs approximately 60 people, has three offices located in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Kolding and delivers a full service offering to clients.

CB Richard Ellis foresees strong growth in the Danish property market. One notable trend is the erosion of the traditional preference for owner-occupancy among local companies, which has made sale-leaseback transactions an attractive option. The popularity of sale-leasebacks, alongside strong economic growth, are expected to continue to draw a growing number of international investors to both Denmark and the wider Scandinavian region» (19 febbraio 2008, CS della Società)

CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. today announced that it has opened an office in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The country is one of Eastern Europe’s fastest growing economies and the huge potential for expansion of its real estate market makes it attractive for CB Richard Ellis’ international clients.

CB Richard Ellis expects to see rapid growth in Ukraine, Europe’s second largest country. Its accession this month to the World Trade Organisation, combined withits strategic position within Europe, large size and enormous potential for development makes it a significant investment opportunity for both foreign and local property investors and developers.

The move into Ukraine further strengthens CB Richard Ellis’ platform in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The new Kyiv office will work in close partnership with CB Richard Ellis’ operations in Russia and across CEE(18 febbraio 2008)

CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. today announced the acquisition of Eurisko Consulting SRL, the largest independent commercial real estate services company in Romania. The purchase price is approximately $35.0 million, subject to a post closing audit. The acquisition further enhances CB Richard Ellis’ ability to deliver the premier commercial real estate services offering across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) by giving the Company a leading position in one of the region’s fastest growing economies.

Founded in 1997, Eurisko is one of the top real estate services companies in Romania. It employs 120 professionals and is based in Bucharest with offices in key cities across the country. The company has developed a strong reputation in investment, agency, valuation, consultancy and research, and has an extensive client portfolio.

Accession to the EU, strong economic growth and a skilled, low-cost labour force have fuelled the rapid growth of Romania’s real estate market over recent years. This acquisition is particularly significant because it increases CB Richard Ellis’ ability to present the broadest range of opportunities to investors seeking high yields available in CEE. It also enables the Company to assist corporate clients that are considering Romania as a location for their back office and support centres. (8 febbraio 2008)
